Leigh found this guy on our upstairs patio. While trying to nudge him down the stairs (mystery toads and dogs don’t mix), he puffed up like a giant angry cheeseburger and refused to move. She eventually got him down to the sidwalk, but he still looked displeased.
Costa Rica shows its love for us in the strangest ways.

The ocean washes up some pretty impressive things.
During low tide, the beach in Esterillos reveals miles of hardened lava flows. You can walk out on them and explore dozens of tide pools, or just stand back and admire how it looks like a crazy aerial map.
